West Allis Radio Amateur Club Swapfest January 5th. 2019.

 

January 12 2019. 9 AM-1 PM.

Bertha Community Center, Bertha, MN.

Bertha Arctic Blast Ham Fest

Come join us for our 2nd ever Ham Fest.

 Admission is $5.00 and rental space for a vendor/table is $10.00.

 Doors will open at 7am for vendors and people wanting to

 sell their ham radio gear with doors opening at 9am.

We will have on site VE Amateur Radio Testing from 10am until Noon.

At Noon we will have a short speaker on Ham Radio Communications

when it comes to emergency officials and the ARMER Radio System.

We will also be serving coffee and snacks. Also we will be doing

drawings throughout the day as well. Mark your calendars!

From the intersection of Randolph Ave. and Hamline Ave. S.

 take Hamline southward for 3 blocks. The parking lot entrance is

 on the west side of Hamline Ave. opposite Watson St.

Doors open at 8:30 for equipment check in, the sale starts at 9:30.

We offer the SELLERS an option of listing equipment for the Live auction

 or a Silent auction for the smaller or less important items.

The Silent Auction will end at 11:30 after a break,

so results tabulations can be finished on time.

If you would like to donate Ham related items to be sold at the auction,

 if you would like to have items listed and advertised before the auction,

 or if you have any questions about the auction, please contact

Limited refreshments will be available.

The Twin City FM Club Annual Breakfast will be at Perkins 

6920 Wayzata Blvd Golden Valley Friday, November 23, 2018 at 6:30 AM

Jay Bellows K0QB will be speaking about what's going on at the ARRL.

Steve Kremer KN0F will be providing some musical entertainment.

Tickets will be given out for a chance at some door prizes.

 The event starts at 6:30 am, but get there early to get a good seat.

All members of the local Amateur Radio community are welcome to attend, so tell all of your friends!

The ARRL VEC rules states that we must charge a $15

Test Session fee to pay for testing materials, postage and handling of the tests. 

You will need to following items with you on the day of the test:

    A photo ID (driver’s license or student ID)

     Your Social Security Number (to register with the FCC)

If you are upgrading a current amateur license:

    ; The current FCC issued original amateur radio license

    A photocopy to send in.

     Any current original CSCEs for any previously passed elements

     A photocopy of those Your FCC issued FRN number

Richfield CERT Communications Team Sunday Afternoon Net

This net is held on the 145.390- repeater every second Sunday

of the month at 1;00 PM. It is typically run from the City of Richfield’s

 Mobile Operations Center by a member, or members, of the

 Richfield CERT Communications Team. It is designed as a training

and familiarization drill for passing message traffic.

 All our welcome to check-in with or without traffic to pass.

 

South Washington Co ARES net first Sunday and the 15th. Of the month

at 7PM on 146.985 This repeater is in Inver Grove Heights

and may not be accessible to all.
